G8 Research Group Announces Searchable Archives
April 6, 2004

The G8 Research Group at the University of Toronto has made the inventory of its complete archives publicly available online. Located at the John W. Graham Library at Trinity College's Munk Centre for International Studies, the archives contain official documents, transcripts, tape recordings and other materials relating to the G7 and G8 Summits going back to the first leaders' meeting in 1975. The searchable inventory, which is updated regularly, is available at no charge on the G8 Information Centre. The website also contains many of the documents in electronic form, along with analysis and studies published by the G8 Research Group, under the direction of Professor John Kirton.

Other public education projects produced by the G8 Research Group include G8 Online, a 26-unit online course that explains the history of the G8 and some of the issues that will be on the agenda when the leaders meet at Sea Island, Georgia, on June 8-10, 2004.
