Statement of the G7 Ambassadors Regarding the Detention of Nadiya Savchenko

  1. G7 Ambassadors in Ukraine express their serious concerns about the health of Nadiya Savchenko, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who has been imprisoned in Russia since 2014 and is currently on hunger strike in protest against her detention.
  2. G7 Ambassadors call on the Russian authorities to immediately release Nadiya Savchenko and to comply with the commitments made in the "Package of measures for the implementation of the Minsk Agreements" including the release of all hostages and illegally detained persons.
