Since 2001 Richard has been the creator and developer of the G8 Online Program website. Working in close collaboration with other members of the production team, the G8 Online Program has developed to the point where its presence is a valuable contribution to those interested in global politics; academics, students, the public and the media who are looking for critical and scholarly research on issues surrounding the annual G8 conference. Madeline Koch is the Managing Director of the G8 Research Group, which organizing conferences and events, handling media relations, supporting the work of the group in various capacities, and managing three book series edited by John Kirton: the G8 and Global Governance series, the Global Finance series (co-edited with Michele Fratianni and Paolo Savona) and the Global Environmental Governance series (co-edited with Konrad von Moltke). Each of these series explores aspects of the G8 and global governance and is published by Ashgate Publishing.

Koch has been associated with the G8 Research Group since she attended the Paris Summit in 1989 (she took ten years off, however, and started attending summits again at Cologne in 1999). A freelance editor, she has worked on a variety of projects unrelated to international relations, ranging from textbooks to cookbooks. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs.

 

 

Bob Papanikolaou

Bob Papanikolaou is an honours student at the University of Toronto working towards a specialist degree in international relations with a major in political science. His research interests include global governance, public policy, international trade policy, technological development, and diplomatic negotiation. He has been a research assistant for Professor John Kirton and a member of the G8 Research Group for the past two years. Bob is looking forward to graduate studies and a career with the Canadian Foreign Service or the United Nations.

Bob's contributions to this project include: post production, video and audio encoding, camera direction, site design, and site content management.

Bob speaks English, French, Greek, and is working on German and Arabic.

 

 

Helen Walsh

Helen Walsh has many years experience in multiple media environments - publishing, linear production and new media - as a publisher, producer and strategic consultant to the arts, educational and technology fields. For recent clients such as the World Bank, University of Toronto, INSEAD, Government of Canada and the US Navy among others, Helen has undertaken projects such as online educational initiatives, technology consulting, business and process analysis, internet business strategy, content development, building of a Virtual Private Broadband Network, etc.

Helen has been an active member of the Toronto and New York arts communities for many years. After graduating from the University of Toronto, she became a published fiction writer and editor, co-founding the fiction quarterly McGill Street Magazine and its monthly Reading Series that ran from 1992-1995. Helen is presently co-publisher of the Literary Review of Canada.

As a writer and producer, Helen's work has been programmed at more than twenty-five film festivals in ten countries, and has sold to Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Showcase, BBC, Danish Broadcasting Corporation and Women's Television Network. She has been involved in a number of media and technology associations in Toronto and New York (WIFT, CFTPA, LIFT, NYNMA). Helen sits on the board of directors of Couchiching Institute of Public Affairs, Literary Review of Canada and the Abbeyfield Houses Society.
