G7 Ise-Shima Cyber Group (ISCG)

On October 14, the first meeting of the "Ise-Shima Cyber Group (ISCG)," a new G7 working group on cyber which G7 leaders decided to establish at the Ise-Shima Summit in May this year, was held under the chairmanship of Japan (Mr. Koichi Mizushima, Japan's Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy and Deputy Director-General of Foreign Policy Bureau).

The delegations discussed the current cybersecurity environment and had a frank discussion on how to promote international law, norms, confidence building measures and capacity building in order to increase stability and security in cyberspace.

The G7 delegations will continue to work together on cyber policy issues and hold the second meeting of the ISCG early next year toward the next G7 summit in Italy.
