The G8 Research Group is pleased to announce its partnership with the Moscow State Institute on International Relations (MGIMO) in establishing a G8 research centre at the Moscow-based university. The new centre will contribute to keeping alive the legacy of the St. Petersburg Summit -- the first leaders' summit hosted by Russia on July 15-17, 2006 -- and will strengthen Russia's contribution to the both to the G8 as an instrument of global governance and to the work of the G8 Research Group based at the University of Toronto's Munk Centre for International Studies. The centre will be led by Dr. Victoria Panova, who also works closely with the G8 Research Group.
