According to the White House, four African leaders have been invited to participate in a discussion on accelerating progress towards food security in Africa on May 19 during the G8 Camp David Summit. The four leaders are the following:

• Yayi Boni, chair of the African Union; president of Benin
• Meles Zenawi, president, Ethiopia; chair, NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee
• John Mill, president, Ghana
• Jakaya Kikwete, president, Tanzania
