Auditors in G8 countries to monitor St. Petersburg implementation

On July 7, 2006, The auditing agencies of the G8 countries will monitor implementation of the budgetary commitments made at the St. Petersburg Summit on July 15-17, 2006, according to Sergei Stepashin, chairman of the Russian Audit Chamber. At Russia's suggestion at the 2002 Moscow EUROSAI conference, the G8 auditors met and agreed to set up a working group to formulate concrete proposals on cooperation.
